Approach
Standardised solar specification per site type: 50–100 kWp on smaller hotels, 80–120 kWp on larger. JA Solar panels and SMA inverters across all sites for consistent monitoring and group-level reporting. Phased over 18 months following hotel-specific maintenance windows.
Outcome
All 12 sites installed. Group annual saving £215k vs £190k forecast. Group Scope 2 emissions down 18% in Year 1 against 50%-by-2030 target. Group sustainability lead: 'We're now the first hotel group in our segment with documented on-site renewable on every property.'
